About
Built for foreign clients. Grounded in Japan. Connected across Asia and the US.
Ready Group Japan helps international clients navigate Japan across property, rental, relocation, education, lifestyle, retirement, and business needs. We combine Japan-side execution with international client understanding, multilingual capability, and trusted specialist partners — shaped by experience supporting clients from across Asia-Pacific, North America, and beyond.

Why Ready Group Japan Exists
Japan is one of the world’s most attractive destinations for internationally mobile families, investors, executives, entrepreneurs, and retirees. But for foreign clients, Japan can be difficult to navigate. Language, documentation, banking, property processes, schools, immigration, healthcare, tax, and local customs can make even simple decisions feel complex.
Ready Group Japan exists to make that journey clearer. We provide one trusted point of coordination for clients seeking to buy, rent, relocate, study, retire, invest, or build a presence in Japan.
What Makes Us Different
Built around the realities of international clients in Japan.
International Client Understanding
Ready Group Japan has supported clients from Hong Kong, Mainland China, the United States, Australia, Singapore, Thailand, and other international markets. We understand the expectations of foreign clients because our business was built for them.
Japan-Side Execution
Our native Japanese team members and trusted partners are on the ground in Japan, coordinating the practical details that foreign clients often find difficult to manage from overseas.
Multilingual, Cross-Border Capability
We support clients across English, Japanese, Mandarin, and Cantonese, with cultural fluency across Japan, Hong Kong, Mainland China, the United States, and the broader Asia-Pacific region.
Our story
Built from Our Own Japan Journey.
Ready Group Japan began with a personal journey.
After years of visiting Japan, our family wanted a deeper connection with the country — not only as visitors, but as owners, neighbors, and long-term participants in Japan life. We purchased property, learned the process, experienced the practical challenges, and saw how difficult it can be for foreign buyers to move from interest to confident action.
That experience shaped the mission of Ready Group Japan.
Today, we help foreign clients pursue their own Japan life — whether that means a Tokyo apartment, a ski home in Niseko or Hakuba, a holiday base, a family relocation, a long-stay plan, or an investment property. We begin by understanding the client's aspiration, then help translate it into practical decisions around location, property, process, ownership, and ongoing support.
Our role is not simply to show property. It is to help clients move from dream to plan — and from plan to ownership, settlement, and life in Japan.
Founder & Leadership
Jim Costello
Ready Group Japan was founded by Jim Costello, whose career spans more than three decades of international leadership across Asia and the United States. Jim spent 25 years with HSBC in senior roles across Hong Kong and Mainland China, including as CEO of HSBC Life Insurance China and senior leadership roles in Hong Kong wealth, insurance, and distribution strategy.
That background shapes Ready Group Japan’s approach: client-first, governance-minded, internationally fluent, and focused on helping foreign clients make confident decisions in Japan.
A Lean Senior Team, Supported by Trusted Partners
Ready Group Japan operates through a focused senior team with Japan-side execution and client coverage across Japan, Hong Kong, and the United States. Our model is intentionally partner-enabled: where specialist expertise is required, we coordinate with vetted providers in real estate, relocation, legal, tax, immigration, education, healthcare, travel, property services, and concierge support.
This gives clients access to a broader Japan support network while maintaining a single Ready Group Japan point of contact.
